Astrophytum myriostigma cv. Fukuryu (Type B). It is a spherical cactus plant that can gradually become columnar. One of the rarest astrophites, prized by cactus lovers. These cacti can have anywhere from 3 to 10 distinct ribs, but most commonly have five. These are Japanese hybrids, and the Japanese word fukuryu means extra ribs. This plant can be of several types. In the spring, the cactus releases a yellow inflorescence.

Maintenance:

Light : The plant needs to be in the sun because it needs a lot of light throughout the year. When the plants are still very young, it is advisable to protect them from direct sunlight during the hottest hours of the day.

Temperature : It is preferable to keep the plant at a mild temperature, never below 4 °C, so it is advisable to keep it indoors.

Watering : Watering should be moderate, only when the soil is completely dry. In spring and summer, it is enough to water the plant once every two weeks, in autumn - once every two months, and in winter, watering should be stopped completely. However, you should always check the soil of the plant, as watering can depend on both the air temperature and the humidity in the room.
